Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. Currently a scientist for the California Institute for Water Resources, Faith actively writes and publishes on a wide-variety of topics including water, wildfire, climate change, and people. Drawing on her recently released book, ‘Getting to the heart of science communication: A guide to effective engagement’ (2021) Faith will guide the Design Challenge teams in effective community outreach, and science communication. Faith has led a wildfire research and outreach center at UC Berkeley and was an AAAS Science and Policy Fellow.
